33 AI funding rounds in one day: what got funded on October 16
A daily tracker counted 33 AI rounds and $387.5M disclosed on October 16, led by robotics. Suki's $90M Series E shows up in another tracker.
Agenccy's daily tracker counted 33 AI funding rounds announced on October 16, 2026, with $387.5 million in disclosed capital, in line with its 30-day median of 42 rounds a day. Robotics led by sector.
The largest disclosed rounds it lists: a $150M Series D+ for a Chinese collaborative robotics company, a $50M debt round for LearnUpon's agentic learning platform led by Claret Capital Partners, a $48M Series C for Microbiotica led by the British Business Bank, RapidCanvas's $29M Series B, and a $20M seed for Empirical Machines, which works on AI for scientific discovery, led by Peak XV Partners and Mettle Capital.
A second tracker, Name.ai, recorded Suki's $90 million Series E the same day. Trackers count differently, so totals for the same day do not match.
Why it matters for builders
The money went to AI that does physical or specialist work (robots, drug discovery, science). General chat apps weren't on the list. If you're raising, a narrow, domain-specific product matches what these funders backed.
